Village of Islington-Village of Murals holds its 3rd annual Paint the Street festival with Art in the Park, fabulous music, magic and dancing in the gazebo, self-guided mural walks and a community BBQ. There will also be a special children’s program including clowns, face-painters, a bouncy castle, Circus Jonathan, interactive art projects and story-telling in both French and English.

Emerging and established artists showcase original works in drawing, photography, print, new media, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. There are also children’s activities. This multi-venued exhibition annually draws over 10,000 people to Jimmie Simpson Park and artist studios, galleries and retail spaces in the South Riverdale and Riverside neighbourhoods of Toronto.

Bloor-Yorkville Festival: Brazilian Guitar Marathon

From bossa nova to classical, the guitar has a rich and diverse history in Brazil. Cooking Fire Theatre Festival

A week-long performance extravaganza celebrating theatre, food and public space in Dufferin Grove Park. Each evening, hosts Les Trouvères, lead the audience from site to site to see performances ranging from the love story of an old man and a beautiful pigeon to a comic meditation on going on a journey.
